This is a few weeks late but I wanted to make a blog post and talk about a few things.

First off, THANK YOU so much to those who have been reading the comic, helping promote it, and constantly motivating me to keep making the best comic I can produce. I have some of the best friends in the world, and you guys are super supportive. Thank you.

Secondly, what does this new year mean for Mage? Here are a few items:

1. Pushing for more readership: I don’t want to spam people too much about updates, so I’ve primarily only been linking a new comic to the Mage Facebook page. I’ve purchased ad space on a few sites and I have linked the comic to Inkoutbreak. I’ve recently hit up reddit also, though I’m unsure how that went. We’ll see! Best thing I can do is to keep making the comic, and reaching out where I can. Hopefully the “if you build it, they will come” theory will work out.

2. More Content: I need to draw more often and offer up more content in general, not just for Mage. This year, it is my goal to draw every day. I’m posting art to my personal blog, (ethankillett.com) as well as deviant art. I will also start updating my other comic, Thelbert, daily. However, the updates there might not always be comics. Finally, I intend on utilizing the blog on Mage more often. Expect more blog posts like this one. Sometimes just news, sometimes movie reviews, whatever. I need more of “me” in the site. This will also help in getting google ads down the road. haha.

3. Perseverance:  All artists get down in ruts. I’m no different, in fact I’m pretty hard on myself. As I stated above, I have a lot of awesome folks to motivate me. I love this comic and I want to keep it going. So I’m gonna do just that!

Be sure to check out the Mage Facebook Page if you haven’t already, and if you’d like you can follow me on twitter and instagram. I’m going to start posting work in progress pics of the comic. Links to my social media sites are up at the tippy top of the site on the menu bar.

Catch ya later!
